I am absolutely giddy about this! I'm watching the fireweed blooms slowly travel up the stalk, meaning they are moving closer and closer to the time when they will turn to cotton and summer will soon be forgotten, as the saying goes.
I just love living in a cold weather climate, mostly because it means that I get to work with wool year round without getting sweaty and itchy!
So, to celebrate this wonderful fall weather in July, I've decided to do another giveaway. The real fall will be here before we know it, and wouldn't you like to have a great fall accessory ready to use when it gets here?!
Here are the giveaway details:
1. What am I giving away?
A copy of the Alluvia Felted Tote pattern and 8 skeins of Wool of the Andes Worsted in the colors of your choice! You could go with muted tones or vibrant shades...the possibilities are endless!
2. How can you enter?

Good luck, everyone! Looking forward to hearing your favorite shade of WotA...mine's a tie between Firecracker Heather and Tidepool Heather!
WOW! I would love to give that bag a try!! I love yours! And I'm jealous of your cold weather. I'm originally from BC and I miss the milder summer and colder winters.
ReplyDeleteI'm also a fan of Tidepool Heather... those blues and teals drive me into a knitting tizzy!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great bag!
I am so excited about this giveaway because I love that bag! Thanks for an awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOh I love purples! Yummy!
ReplyDeleteI'll facebook this.
Wow! Thanks! I love the claret heather!
ReplyDeleteWould definitely like some cooler weather my way, 90+ is just too much.
ReplyDeleteAs for a favorite color its a tough choice between forest heather and black cherry heather
So many colors -- but if I had to pick only one I would say amber heather
ReplyDeleteLovely lovely bag. What a great talent you have. Too many favorites to come up with just one! Maybe the claret? or black cherry? or maybe the amber?
ReplyDeleteI JUST started an Alluvian kit that I received in the mail on Saturday! LOVE IT! I'm thinking that currant is my favorite color. Very neutral, but not boring! I'd love another kit! GORGEOUS bag!!!! But then again I have a bit of a bag fettish!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many great colors. I love grass, but I see this tote in shades of gray/black with one ruffle of pink.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of your cool weather. Jeff and I have been suffering through 90's all summer. UGH! I have the pattern for this saved in my Ravelry account to pick up as soon as the thought of wool on my skin no longer makes me cringe! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love Sapphire Heather! You know me and blue...
Wow What a giveaway!. I live in BC so wool is vital in the winter. My fave is Pampas Heather. I live in a forest and all those greens make me feel right at home. Marilyn
ReplyDeleteSorry didn't give my E-Mail above it is marilynmckinnon@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteI was just telling someone that I would not mind having only 2.5 seasons: Spring, followed by maybe 3 weeks of Summer (or Simmer, as that's what I tend to do in Summer), followed by a nice long Fall, then maybe a 1 month of Winter. I want to wear warm wooly things without needing either coats or air conditioning!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite color of Wool of the Andes is probably Winter Night, though Claret Heather is lovely too...Thanks for the giveaway, and enjoy your weather for me!
Sorry, forgot to give contact info in my comment above--I'm jashleyslc on Ravelry.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite colors are definitely spruce and winter night.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't decide between the two. ^- ^
I love all the colors, but my favorite is probably Merryweather. What a pretty teal! My mom would love this bag as a gift...
ReplyDeleteOooooo my favorite is the amber heather. But all the colors are great!
ReplyDeleteAhh we are in the mid ohio summer!!! Remember what those are like?? i am so over it!! Fall is my fav
Ohhh, I think Winter Night is my favorite color. LOVE IT.
ReplyDeleteIt's feeling like fall up in Anchorage too. But, I can't complain, I love when the weather gives another excuse to knit. I really like the Merry Weather color.
ReplyDeleteI love Wool of the Andes...especially Firecracker Heather!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You mentioned fall, so I have to go with fall themed colors, which I love anyway - pumpkin, painted desert, amber heather, and maple syrup.
ReplyDeleteAmber

I love the bag and the colors you chose! I think my favorite color out of the line is the black cherry/heather or the Winter Night.
ReplyDeleteOne? I have to pick one? LOL!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm, sapphire heather.
ReplyDeleteYour bag is beautiful!
Seriously?! Just one?! It will have to be... Fairy Tale.
ReplyDeleteLove your bag - it's already on as one of my faves on Ravelry :)

Being a purple gal, I'd have to say I'm pretty fond of the amethyst heather.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your giveaway! Just love the pattern....great job!!
Your bag is GORGEOUS!!!!! I love all of the colors in it - and I think my favorite colors are Lullaby and Iris Heather. What a great bag! Thanks so much for giving this away!
ReplyDeleteI used to live in Chugiak (13 mi up the Glenn Hwy from Anchorage) and recently called an early spring dusting of snow on Pike's Peak Termination Dust (we're in Colorado Springs now) and got some very confused looks until I explained myself. :) My favorite shade of WoA is a toss-up between Arctic Pool Heather and Amethyst Heather.
ReplyDeleteI would start with Amethyst Heather...I can't imagine improving on the colors of your sample. It will be fun to see what others put together... yeah for Ravelry!

I LOVE this pattern, and I guessed that you were knitting a ruffled purse early on. I totally blogged about you, and hope to see you soon!!
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way....i love blue greens. :)
ReplyDeleteI think that a Brown/Blue combo would be fabulous. I think the Thyme with the Lake Ice Heather maybe with some Onyx Heather thrown in as the base might be nice well together would be really nice. Thanks for the give away. Oh, I wish we had your weather. Our summer just won't stop.
ReplyDeleteI love all the heathers. I make felted totes using the entrelac pattern. I am looking forward to trying this bag-looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteI just noticed your bag on Knit Picks and now have thoroughly enjoyed your blog. I love your colors and am glad you included the red WotA. I like the claret heather. Keep these creative designs coming.
ReplyDeleteAwesome bag. My favorite color is Lullaby. Love purple
ReplyDeleteHard to pick! There are such amazing colours!!
ReplyDeleteI think my top two are: Avovado and Hyacinth.
I just posted about your giveaway over at my blog :) Such a great giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteHi Allison -- I would LOVE this bag and right now I'd have to say my favorite WoA color is Amethyst Heather, no, make that Blackberry. Hmmm any of the purples.....
ReplyDeleteI just love that pattern! It's truly a beautiful design!
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say that Persimmon is my favorite color! It's beautiful!
Claret heather...although there are, I note, a number of colors that would be ever so sweet paired with it in the Alluvia.
ReplyDeletePampas Heather! I've seen some really pretty rav projects using that color :)
ReplyDeleteI love Knit Picks in Lake Ice Heather.
